Notes from Underground

BBC2
Producer  |  Director

Highly acclaimed and unique documentary about Moscow’s homeless, satanists, neo-nazis, drug addicts and prostitutes living and meeting underground in tunnels and basements. The film revealed that more than 7,000 people died in appalling filth and squalor in one year. As a direct result of the programme, a charity for homeless people was set-up by former, members of Medicins-Sans-Frontiers.

“One of the best and most moving documentaries seen for a long time. A superb film portrait of the dark lives, beneath Moscow streets.” – The Times

“Truly Striking” – Time Out

“Fascinating” – Independent

“Extraordinary” – Sunday Times
